Annapurna Region Trekking
as
one of the world's best trekking trails according to a recent survey
by Modern Maturity (USA). The highlight of this part of Nepal are Annapurna
peaks, Mt. Dhaulagiri, River Kali Gandaki and several other peaks, Gateway
to Annapurna trekking region is the famous city of Pokhara. The most
prominent ethnic groups of Annapurna region are Gurung, Thakali and
Manangba. Animals found here are pica, blue sheep and Himalayan Thar
and vegetation ranges from tropical species to temperate forest to oak,

starting point of the trek, itself is an adventure. From Lukla you begin
walking to the famous Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar and on to Tyangboche
monastery with the mesmerizing Ama- Dablam as a backdrop.Langtang & Helambu Region Trekking

these Himalayan ranges is a beautiful, secluded, valley filled with
natures bounty - the Langtang National Park. Here the rare red pandas
lurk in dense lichen-draped rhododendron thickets, heards of blue sheep
graze the alpine meadows and lammergeiers glide over glaciated valleys
amidst a scenery of lofty Himalayan peaks. The Helambu villages, over
the holy Gosainkunda lakes and Laurebenayak pass, are the home of the
Sherpas of Nepal.. Their slate and single-roofed villages, that dot

and Helambu although easily approached from Kathmandu is far less trekked
than the Annapurna or Everest areas making it all the more attractive.

of the Rolwaling that famous British Mountaineer Eric Shipton first
photographed a yeti track in 1951. Years later the area was also the
sight for Sir Edmund Hillary's famous expedition whose purpose was to
search for elusive Yeti. Unfortunately he found nothing but the legend
of the Yeti continues to this day.Makalu Region Trekking
