From Kathmandu fly 45 minutes to Lukla than will start walk the trails from Lukla to Namche Bazaar (3440 m), the Sherpa Capital, and from Namche to Thyangboche Monastery (3860 m), important center of Buddhist worship in the region. The monastery is literally surrounded by mountains and there are excellent views of Mount Everest, as well as Ama Dablam, which a reconsidered to be the most beautiful mountain in the region.
